Maritime Terminal Mazatlan (TMAZ) is located in a region where primary activities are the main engine of the economy. Activities related to agriculture, livestock, fishing and mining acquire important importance at national and international level for the supply of quality raw materials.

In grains, white corn stands out, with a production exceeding 5 million tons per year, of which approximately 50% is destined for export.

Much of the production of the primary sector is exported to different parts of the World, which makes Sinaloa an important player in international trade and as a supplier of quality agricultural raw material. Sinaloa products are increasingly accepted in other countries. Examples of exports are tomatoes, chickpeas, avocado and vegetables, among others.

In addition, the arrival of natural gas to Mazatlán, in 2016, announces an industrial revolution in the square, which will certainly require bringing large amounts of project loads to the port.

In addition to that, the reactivation of mining activity, lethargic since 2011, is another sector that is again important, not only because of the volume of its exports, but also because it is also a large consumer of imported technology, whether for exploration or extraction, which moves by sea.

By land, Mazatlan has a highway that connects it with the entire southern United States, on the northern border, and with Mexico City in the center of the country. This highway axis crosses states that have strong industrial poles, such as Jalisco with the city of Guadalajara.

Sinaloa, with 650 km of coastline, offers the country, through its main port, Mazatlan, the natural gateway in the Pacific for the entire region and its centers of production and consumption; among them, the neighboring state of Durango, with a noticeable and thriving industrialization.

This port will be the main gateway to Exports and Imports to and from the Asian Market.
